Cotiza ("Cotiza", "we", "us") is a mobile and web app that helps trade contractors create quotes and invoices, manage clients and jobs, price work with an AI assistant, and grow through referrals. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. It covers three features people ask about most — contacts, referrals, and your business information — in their own sections below.
1. Who we are
Cotiza is operated by Factor Consulting LLC, a limited liability company based in Texas, United States. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
2. Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to run the app and the features you use.

3. Contacts
Cotiza can access your device's contacts only when you tap to pick a contact — for example, to invite another contractor to the referral program. When you do, the app opens your operating system's own contact picker and receives only the one contact you select (their name and phone number), which we use to pre-fill the invitation.
- We do not read, upload, or store your full contact list.
- We do not access contacts in the background.
- We never write to or modify your contacts.
- If you deny the contacts permission, you can still invite people by typing a phone number manually.
4. Referrals
Cotiza's referral program lets you and a contractor you invite each earn free quotes ("give 5, get 5"). To run it, we collect the phone number of the person you invite and record the referral relationship and any credits awarded to your account.
- Invitations are sent from your own device using your phone's messaging or share sheet. Cotiza does not send text messages on your behalf and does not use a third-party SMS service to contact the people you invite.
- We match a new sign-up to your invitation by phone number so we can award the referral credit to both of you.
- We use invited phone numbers only to operate the referral program — not to market to those people independently.
5. Your business information
To make your quotes, invoices, and shareable quote pages look professional and compliant, you can add business information to your profile. This is information about your business that you choose to provide:
- Business / legal name, trade(s), and business address;
- License details for regulated trades (issuing state, license type, number, and expiration);
- Business credentials such as your tax ID (EIN) and insurance details, when you add them;
- Brand assets — your logo, brand colors, typography, and voice/tone;
- An optional marketing website you can generate and publish.
We use this to populate your documents and, where you choose to publish or share them (for example, a public quote link or a published site), to show the relevant details to the client you send them to. You control what you enter and can edit or remove it in the app.
6. Job-site photos & location
When you take or upload a photo, we store it to attach to the relevant job or quote. If you grant location permission, Cotiza can attach the location where a job-site photo was taken so the photo is associated with the right job automatically. Location is used only while you are actively using the app to capture a photo — background location is disabled. You can decline the location and camera permissions and still use the rest of the app.
7. Voice input & AI
When you speak a quote or teach the AI your rates, we record the audio and transcribe it, then use AI models to structure and price the work and build a private knowledge base for your business. Your business content and voice transcripts are used to serve you — we do not sell them and do not use them for cross-app advertising.
8. Session replay & analytics
Our analytics provider records replays of your in-app screens so we can see how the app behaves in real use and reproduce bugs. Replay is configured to mask all text inputs and images by default, so fields such as your phone number, one-time codes, client details, and uploaded images are not captured. Replays are tied to your account so we can support you, and are not used for cross-app advertising.
9. Customer data you enter
As a contractor using Cotiza, you enter information about your own clients (their names, phone numbers, emails, and addresses). You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store that information and for how you communicate with your clients. We process it on your behalf to provide the app's client, quoting, and invoicing features.
10. How we use your data
- To provide the app: quotes, clients, jobs, invoices, your pricing knowledge, AI-assisted estimates, referrals, and shareable documents.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To analyze usage, diagnose crashes, and improve the app.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising.
11. Third-party processors
We share data with the service providers below only so they can perform services for us. Each acts as our processor under its own terms.

12. Data retention
We keep your account and business content for as long as your account is active. Shared quote links expire automatically after 90 days. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data (including your referral phone numbers and credits) within 30 days, except limited records we must retain to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Usage analytics and diagnostics are retained for up to 24 months.
13. Deleting your data
You can delete your account directly in the app at any time from More → Settings → Delete account. This removes your account and associated personal data as described in section 12. You can also email [email protected] to request deletion or a copy of your data.
14. Children
Cotiza is a business tool intended for adults running a trade business. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
15. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
